The CrossFit season kicks off! The wait has been long, but the CrossFit Games 2021 are back stronger than ever and with many, many news.
The search for the fittest woman and man on earth begins with sorting surprises. And it does so with a totally new format, but one that promises more fun and, above all, more chances of reaching the long-awaited final.
For this reason, we will see for the first time 4 phases, in which the Open will no longer qualify directly for the final. Do you want to know more about the different qualifying phases for the 2021 CrossFit Games? Let’s go!
1 – CROSSFIT OPEN
Every CrossFit Games begins with an Open Games, and the 2021 Open Games promise to be the most important participatory sporting event in the world. Dave Castro himself, director of the CrossFit Games, assures us that they will be more attractive and accessible than ever.
With a duration of 3 weeks, from March 11 to 28, and with a total of 4 WODs. The Open Games will not qualify directly, but will lead to the quarterfinals.
And since many of us suffered from the closure of our boxes due to COVID, CrossFit wants to make it easy for us. He has announced that the Open can be held online from home, with a minimum of necessary material:
- A dumbbell.
- A bar and several discs.
- A drawer.
- A rope to jump.
- A pull-up bar.
So run to get the gear, and go for the Open!

And regarding the team competition, the best 25% will be classified.
